Hanmi Korean-Chinese Fusion on Juan Tabo Boulevard NE is run by Carol Chiang, who came out of retirement after fifteen years running Yummi House. Gil Garduno rated it Excellent, crediting servers whose enthusiasm for the menu is contagious. Best bets include the spicy squid, the bulgogi, the soybean paste noodle with kimchi and pickled daikon, the chapchae, and the Korean style beef ribs. Order the bulgogi and the soybean paste noodle, and let the servers steer you toward a dish you would not have tried.

Asian Pear opened in 2015 on San Pedro Drive NE, serving Korean and Japanese plates. Its vegetable pancake won a Hot Plate Award in Albuquerque The Magazine's 2017 Food and Wine issue, and Gil Garduno rated the restaurant Very Good, praising crispy, chewy pancakes with real complexity. Order the vegetable pancake or the kimchi pancake, embedded with shards of pungent kimchi and served with a spicy sauce.

K Style Kitchen on Winter Haven Road NW serves Korean home cooking that Gil Garduno rated Excellent. Kim Seo, who also owns Asian Pear, took over in 2026 and kept the original recipes. Gil praised the double-fried Korean fried chicken as crispier and virtually grease-free next to American fried chicken, alongside beef bibimbap in a hot stone bowl, bulgogi, and three-piece mandu. Order the Korean fried chicken and the beef bibimbap, and add the kimchi pancake.
