Opened in 1928 as a literal icehouse and early gas station, this Montrose fixture is now the city's most cherished shack style dive, with red picnic tables that have hosted generations of regulars. Nearly a century old and still the default answer to oldest bar.

Downtown's oldest continuously operating bar, open since 1953 and still run by the founding Trousdale family's third generation. Neon glow, a jukebox running Sinatra to the Stones, and cheap, strong pours across from Market Square Park, with little changed inside since the mid century.

Dim red lights, ZZ Top posters, a worn in pool table, and pinball machines fill this Heights bar approaching its 25th year. One of the longer running dive bars still operating in the neighborhood, a constant as the Heights changed around it.
