The Wisconsin State Journal says this Cross Plains orchard is known for pick your own apples, its own pressed cider, apple cider doughnuts and weekly fresh baked apple pies. Madison Magazine adds that the doughnuts are baked fresh every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and that the cider is blended from five or more apple varieties. The farm store also carries prepicked apples, and the paper puts hours at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Order the cider doughnuts on a weekend with a jug of the blended cider.
