The Providence Journal covered this shop's opening at 338 County Road, in the space the former Persimmon Provisions left behind. It opened as a family business, and butcher Mike McKeever cuts everything himself, having learned the trade at his family's Warwick market. His father in law Larry Russolino, a chef out of Johnson and Wales's first culinary class, contributes recipes and prepared dishes. The counter carries local meat where it can alongside USDA Prime and antibiotic free cuts, plus Venda ravioli, cheeses and bread from the nearby Vienna Bakery. Ask for the house cut veal chops.
