Philadelphia Magazine's cider donut guide sends readers to the bakery at this West Chester orchard. In September 2026 the magazine reported that an April freeze cut the Pennsylvania apple crop, and Highland manager Jeremy Zeager said to expect limited hours and far fewer than the fifty apple varieties the farm usually carries, though hayrides, the corn maze and other crops are running. The farm market and bakery open Tuesday through Sunday and close on Monday. Call ahead this season, then order the cider doughnuts at the bakery counter.
