Kyoto Japanese Restaurant has served the east side since the 1980s in a room with tatami style booths and a sushi counter. Tempura shrimp arrive with soup, salad and rice, while tonkatsu, sukiyaki, teriyaki and other cooked standards give the menu traditional breadth. The relaxed setting suits a complete Japanese dinner rather than a quick roll stop.
