Mi Colombia, a Colombian kitchen in North Beach, makes a different soup every day, and Saturdays are for sancocho. The portions are massive, down to the wedge of avocado, cut from one of those huge Florida avocados, that comes on the side. The broth is thick enough that you almost don't need the rice it comes with, and the carne de res keeps the beef in firmer chunks. It suits a North Beach beach day, before or after. Order the Saturday sancocho.
