- Mediterranean
A self-service counter in an otherwise desolate Kāhala parking lot, Hale ʻAina Gold for Mediterranean in 2015 and Silver in 2026. The late Savas Mojarrad built it around five preparations: fish, lamb and chicken souvlaki, a lamb patty and falafel, with everything cooked to order and the fish often handed over by the fishermen themselves. Chef Steven Iida now cooks from Mojarrad's recipe book, written in Farsi. Order the fish souvlaki, and come Wednesday for lamb shanks.

- Gyros
A BYOB counter-service Kāhala institution built on owner Savas Mojarrad's ingredient sourcing.
