The Chicken Coupe has served fried chicken on Belle Isle since 2018, first from a food truck and now from the park's old concession stand, a separate building that shares an awning with the restrooms. Metro Times describes chicken tenders, loaded fries piled with melted cheese and chopped tenders, chicken and waffles, sliders with Firebird sauce and pickles, and deep fried Brussels sprouts. Owner Sam Ali is adding lighting, outdoor seating and landscaping. Hours run 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
