The Spot La Jolla is a Prospect Street sports bar whose history dates to 1915; the owners who bought it in 1978 wanted to relocate their Chicago watering hole to San Diego. It is a hangout for Windy City transplants who come to watch the Bears, the Bulls, the Cubs and the Blackhawks, and like any Chicago bar it carries decades of spilled beer and the scent of deep-dish pizza.
