Torogoz grew out of the Esperanza Kitchen food truck into a downtown Salvadoran restaurant run by chef Maria Ramirez and siblings Nain and Johanna Ramirez. The Reporter's Fork column named its torta salvadoreña, a combination of ground beef, beans, vegetables, and jalapeño on soft French bread with fries. It is big enough that the reviewer suggested splitting it, so order the torta and share.
