Olneyville New York System Restaurant · Olneyville
RI's most famous hot wieners since 1946, served on a steamed bun with meat sauce, celery salt and a side of coffee milk.
Sam's New York System · Smith Hill
The 1927 original credited with inventing the New York System wiener.
Wein-O-Rama · Cranston
A classic RI hot-wiener counter, doing the New York System the old-school way since long before it was trendy.
Wally's Providence · Federal Hill
Wally's Wieners just rolled out a specialty Pocket Rockets menu on Federal Hill, a run of stuffed hot dogs that includes a stuffed-crust version with garlic bread bun, marinara, mozzarella, pepperoni and hot honey. The Atwells Avenue location is its third, taking over the old Old Canteen space, and it sits well inside a reasonable mini-chain footprint.
Ogie's Trailer Park · West End
Ogie's Trailer Park runs a walk-up window inside its West End bar called Granny Boo's Kitchen, best known for loaded tots but worth a stop for the Hot D'Ogies too. The trailer-park theme carries through the whole space, giving the hot dogs a rowdier setting than the classic New York System counters nearby.
