Anatolia Mediterranean Grill opened in December 2025 on Jefferson Street NE, a Turkish kitchen Gil Garduno rated Outstanding. He favored the kofte, grilled meatballs mixed with spices, and the beef shish, alongside lamb chops and lahmacun, the thin Turkish flatbread topped with minced beef, onion, parsley, and tomato. Order the kofte kebab and the lahmacun, and share the family platter of grilled meats.

Al-Qud's Mediterranean Grill & Grocery on Montgomery Boulevard NE is run by Mohammad Abdeljalil and his two sons in a converted bank building. Gil Garduno gave it his highest Extraordinary rating. On the grill side, the shish kabob platter, lamb shawarma over hummus, and chicken tawook with garlic sauce stand out, with the house-baked pita Gil Garduno called the best in New Mexico. Order the lamb shawarma platter and the shish kabob, and take home a box of the pistachio baklava.

Pars Cuisine on The 25 Way NE has served Persian and Mediterranean plates since 1984, and Gil Garduno rated it Excellent. The Persian grill is the strength: soltani pairing koobideh and barg kebabs, the walnut and pomegranate fesenjoon, and a mazeh combination to start. Order the soltani platter and the fesenjoon, and finish with the Persian dessert plate of baklava, sohan, and bamieh.

Gyros Mediterranean on Cornell Drive SE is a Greek kitchen of more than forty years, run since 2020 by Panos and Miranda Marmaras. Gil Garduno rated it Outstanding. Beyond the gyros, he praised the paidakia lamb chops marinated in olive oil, lemon, garlic, and oregano and grilled over charcoal, the skorthalia potato and garlic dip, and the galaktoboureko custard pie. Order the paidakia lamb chops with a side of the homemade patates.
