Our State profiled executive chef Brian Sonoskus, who has run this kitchen since it opened in 2000, around the release of its second cookbook in three years, Tupelo Honey Cafe: New Southern Flavors From the Blue Ridge Mountains. The magazine describes a popular Asheville room whose chef cooks from the mountains around it, and whose food the cookbook gathers.
