Amélie's French Bakery & Café · NoDa
A French bakery and cafe at 136 East 36th Street in NoDa, furnished like a Paris flea market and open long past when most bakeries have swept up. The case runs to macarons, eclairs, fruit tarts and the salted caramel brownie that regulars order by name. The original North Davidson flagship closed in 2022, and this room carries the operation forward.

Betancur is as known for the loaves he drives out to migrant farmworkers on North Carolina's Christmas tree farms as for the case up front.
