La Poblanita · Clintonville
La Poblanita’s Indianola Avenue truck is known for tacos, but its tamales deserve a separate stop. Pork comes with a fiery red chile sauce, chicken with tomatillo sauce, and a vegetable version combines cheese, tomato, onion and jalapeño. The masa is supple and steamed with care. The pork is the first order for heat, while the chicken and vegetable fillings give the small truck more range.
Dos Hermanos · North Market
Dos Hermanos brought Oaxacan-style tamales to its North Market stall alongside tacos when the stall opened. The tamales are steamed from a family recipe, and the market’s current merchant page still points visitors toward them when available. This is the Downtown market location named in the original coverage; look for the tamales here as a market find rather than assuming every branch has them every day.
