Each holiday season this Houston Heights cocktail bar becomes Miracle, self-described as Houston's original Christmas-themed pop-up and treated by regulars as a holiday institution. Lights and yuletide decor fill both the indoor room and an outdoor tent, and drinks arrive in collectible themed glassware. Order whatever seasonal cocktail is pouring that week and keep the glass. The takeover runs from late November through the end of December, after which Johnny's Gold Brick goes back to its everyday cocktail program.

Each winter this Midtown bar, usually known for cured and flash-fried chicken wings, becomes a stop on the Miracle Christmas pop-up circuit, pairing festive cocktails in themed glassware with the kitchen's usual sandwich and wing menu. Families are welcome, with children allowed in until early evening before the room shifts toward its regular late-night crowd. Order a seasonal Miracle cocktail alongside a sandwich off the year-round menu. Winnie's reopens as its everyday self once the pop-up calendar wraps for the year.
