A counter-service Middleton taqueria making burritos, tacos, tamales and quesadillas to order. A Wisconsin State Journal restaurant review recommends it for satisfying a taco craving, and the same straightforward, made-to-order approach carries over to its burrito lineup. It sits just outside the Madison city line in the western part of the metro.
HWY1 Baja Bowls & Burritos · Monroe Street
A Baja-inspired bowl and burrito counter that opened in 2025 in the Monroe Street space vacated by Miko Poke, according to Isthmus's year-end Madison dining roundup. It is one of the newest additions to the neighborhood's food scene, and one of only two picks that met the bar for this list after several mobile carts and trailers were excluded.
