The Food Bank Eatery is a Black woman owned, family operated North Minneapolis restaurant rooted in home style soul food. Fried chicken, ribs, catfish, greens, macaroni and cheese, and desserts fill the counter menu. Mpls.St.Paul Magazine's December 2025 coverage names the restaurant during its current Lyndale Avenue run.
Angelea's Soul Food · Frogtown
Angelea's brings a sibling run family's scratch made soul food to University Avenue. Smothered chicken, ribs, turkey legs, catfish, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and cobbler honor recipes associated with the owners' late mother. A June 2026 Minnesota Star Tribune feature reports directly from the new St. Paul location.
