Back to Cuba Cafe spent 18 years at Harding and Trousdale before its building was razed, then reopened in a Nippers Corner shopping center. Owner Alejandro Martinez bakes the Cuban bread in house for a Cubano loaded with two hams, pulled pork, and melted cheese, and the menu also carries ropa vieja and lechon asado.

Soy Cubano brings Miami-Cuban cooking to Sylvan Park, a larger second home after its original Wash location, with croquetas, a crackling Cubano, garlicky yuca fries, and pan con lechon among the standouts in a room done up in tropical pastels.
