Manolito · French Quarter
An homage to Havana's El Floridita daiquiri bar, this French Quarter spot on Dumaine Street pairs frozen drinks with classic Cuban dishes. Black bean soup, ropa vieja, ham-and-cheese croquetas, and a mojo-roasted-pork Cubano anchor the menu, and Gambit's restaurant critic reviewed the kitchen after it opened.
Café Conmigo · Uptown
Opened in January 2026 by New Orleans natives Fredo Nogueira and Ryan Iriarte, this Uptown cafe on Jena Street serves Cuban coffee and pressed sandwiches including the classic Cubano, the medianoche, and the frita Cubana. Both Gambit and nola.com covered the arrival of dedicated Cuban cooking to the Freret area.
