Orlando Weekly called the Oktoberfest this Sanford restaurant throws on Magnolia Square the most authentic in town, a three day run of giant pretzels, bratwurst and boots of German beer that opens with the Alive After 5 street festival. The Orlando Sentinel reports the family taps a ceremonial keg on the third Saturday of September to start the season and celebrates all day before it. Order a boot of German beer with a pretzel and a bratwurst. The Oktoberfest weekend itself lands in October.
Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company · Ivanhoe Village
The Orlando Sentinel writes that Kolsch wheel service is always on the menu at this Ivanhoe Village lager house, the German tradition of constant refills of its own Lake Hopp'r Kolsch until you set your coaster on top of the glass. Full one litre glasses are available, and the room runs a stein holding contest and a German food menu through the festival season. Order the Kolsch by the wheel and stop it with a coaster. The German menu runs through Oktoberfest season.
