Pittsburgh Magazine places this open air beer garden nine stories above William Penn Place, on the roof of the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in the middle of Downtown. The list runs to beer, wine, spirits and custom cocktails, and the magazine points at the BG Pretzel, a soft pretzel big enough to serve four. The garden opens evenings Tuesday through Saturday and takes no reservations. Order the BG Pretzel for the table and a beer, and go early on a clear evening for a spot at the rail.
