A Clinton mill that opens for its season in late August and still presses on the hydraulic press installed in 1927, with the Fehlner family running it since 1998. The press sits behind a window so customers can watch a batch go through. The Rome Sentinel found a steady stream of people buying cider donuts, cider slush and pies on opening day, and newyorkupstate.com says the donuts are made fresh in the on-site bakery in plain and cinnamon sugar.
