The Wynwood original of Derek Kaplan's pie shops, opened in 2013 by a baker who started selling pies on the street as a teenager and kept baking while working as a Miami firefighter. The case runs to dozens of flavors, from an apple pie with a crumbly topping to gooey salted caramel over an oatmeal crust and a Cookie Monster pie, but key lime was the first pie Kaplan ever made: condensed milk and freshly squeezed key lime juice in a buttery graham crust.
