A farm and nursery on Latta Road where Janice Hassett fries the fry cakes from a recipe she learned from her mother. CITY Magazine calls them petite, with a crusty outside and a soft interior, and they run mid September through Halloween only, in plain, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar and frosted. Glazed is missing on purpose, because Hassett says they do not need it. Fry cake fun facts are posted at the shop to entertain the line. Go on a weekday morning and order a half dozen cinnamon sugar cakes warm.
