DarSalam Restaurant & Catering (Downtown) · Alberta
Owner Ghaith Sahib built Portland's most established Iraqi restaurant around family recipes, including a falafel with a distinctive crackle crust exterior. The name means house of peace in Arabic, and the Alberta patio carries hand painted murals of Old Baghdad alongside a downtown second location.
Boedecker Cellars · Northwest Portland
A Pinot Noir focused urban winery producing since 2003, Boedecker also makes chardonnay, pinot blanc, and pinot gris in a refurbished Northwest warehouse. The tasting room pours flights of Pinot alongside a rose and a white, with a cheese and charcuterie machine and an outdoor patio.
Shalom Y'all · Central Eastside
An Israeli street food kitchen known for indulgent bowls of hummus topped with braised lamb or chickpeas, alongside oregano perfumed lamb chops and muhamara. The Central Eastside patio is as much a draw as the food. It is another Sesame Collective spot, built for easy weekday lunches.
