Hip Chicks do Wine · Southeast Portland
Founded in 2001 in an industrial pocket of inner Southeast, Hip Chicks Do Wine is Portland's oldest continuously operating urban winery, making small batch wines and running a full calendar of tastings and themed pairing events three days a week in an unpretentious warehouse tasting room.
ENSO Winery · Buckman
Owner Ryan Sharp built ENSO around old world winemaking applied to Oregon fruit, producing since 2011. The tasting lounge on SE Stark doubles as an event space, with walk ins welcome for wine by the glass, flight, or bottle in a relaxed, low key setting.
Boedecker Cellars · Northwest Portland
A Pinot Noir focused urban winery producing since 2003, Boedecker also makes chardonnay, pinot blanc, and pinot gris in a refurbished Northwest warehouse. The tasting room pours flights of Pinot alongside a rose and a white, with a cheese and charcuterie machine and an outdoor patio.
Division Winemaking Company · Central Eastside
Founded by Thomas and Kate Monroe, who also started the Southeast Wine Collective, Division has made low intervention wine in inner Southeast since 2012. Tastings run weekly by appointment directly with the winemakers rather than through a public bar, a more personal, hands on visit.
Teutonic Wine Company · Southeast Portland
A small production urban winery on SE 20th focused on Alsatian and Mosel style wines, with cool climate rieslings and pinots. The tasting room pours Thursday through Sunday, with reservations recommended, a distinct German leaning counterpoint to the city's Pinot heavy urban wineries.
