Sorry Charlie's Oyster Bar anchors a City Market building that now holds four concepts under one roof: the original oyster house plus The Bamboo Room, The Rooftop and an event space called Gibbons Hall. Erica and Dwight Davis bought a Thunderbolt room that had been Teeple's and turned it into a restaurant after more than a decade catering oyster roasts and Lowcountry boils across the region. Connect Savannah reports that Erica started catering on her own around 2002 with a seafood background from the Russo family. Lunch and takeout came first. Order the Lowcountry boil, the signature oysters or the barbecue.

Desposito's Seafood is a waterfront shack under the Thunderbolt bridge known for steamed shrimp and deviled crab. The restaurant closed briefly after a December 2025 staff walkout and reopened around January 10, 2026 under River Street Hospitality. Savannah Magazine's 2025 survey and Eat It & Like It both covered the kitchen, though some older directory listings still show it incorrectly as closed.
