A refined Korean bar-food restaurant from chef Angel Barreto, ranging from understated rice cakes glazed with sweet soy to gochujang-fried chicken drizzled with Alabama white barbecue sauce. The panchan alone is worth the visit, especially a fiery 30-day kimchi and a fermented collard-green side. The bi-level, exposed-brick dining room feels more clubby than formal.

A late-night Korean barbecue house where servers grill pork belly, spicy beef, and octopus tableside, then cut it with scissors while K-pop plays overhead. Start with pan-fried mandu and a seafood pancake, then move to LA-style galbi and naengmyeon cold-noodle soup, with soju and Hite alongside. Loud, crowded, and built for groups.

A tofu-soup specialist doing a handful of dishes very well: grilled meats, Korean pancakes, and above all soondubu, a pepper-laced broth thickened with custardy house-made tofu, a raw egg cracked in tableside, and add-ins like oysters or beef. The crispy pork-and-kimchi pancake and bulgogi round out a menu of five spice levels.
