Rivayat opened from the owners of Spice Palette in Mount Pleasant, taking over the space that housed Lana for a dozen years at the corner of Rutledge and Cannon. A four-chef kitchen serves tandoori oysters, Cochin scallops and lamb pista korma alongside a full bar.

Ma'am Saab serves Pakistani cooking from a storefront on Meeting Street downtown. The Charleston City Paper named it Best Indian/Pakistani in its 2026 Best of Charleston readers' poll, with Spice Palette Indian Cuisine finishing as runner-up in the same category.

Taste of India has built a following in West Ashley on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard for its puffy naan, dal makhani and adept versions of Indian-American classics, served alongside an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. The restaurant later opened a sister location, Curry Palace, also in West Ashley.
