Emporium Pies · Bishop Arts, Dallas
Emporium Pies began as a pop-up run by Megan Wilkes and Mary Sparks and got its start in a small house in Bishop Arts in 2012, then grew to four pie shops around Dallas-Fort Worth; White Rhino Coffee, a Dallas coffee company, bought the business in 2025. This Bishop Arts shop is the original, selling pie by the slice or whole. Order the Smooth Operator, silk chocolate on a pretzel crust.
Humble: Simply Good Pies · East Dallas
Sean and Erin Jett opened this East Dallas pie shop on Garland Road in 2018 and rebuilt it after a 2022 fire; the dining room keeps its Central Perk feel, with the neon pie man sign hung on the wood boards that survived. The lineup runs from a Damned Fine cherry pie and Blossom's Coconut Joy, named for Sean's great-grandmother, to a gluten-friendly Alex's Lemon Ice Box, with mini pies and savory Louisiana meat pies and pot pies. Order the Coconut Joy.
Sweet Lucy's Pies · Bluebonnet Circle, Fort Worth
Lindsey Lawing named this Fort Worth pie shop for her daughter, Lucy, and after years of farmers markets and porch pickups opened its first storefront on Bluebonnet Circle near TCU in 2023. The small room has soft pink walls, a vintage bakery case and a soundtrack from her late mother's vinyl, and the pie menu rotates with the seasons on locally sourced ingredients. Order the whiskey pecan, a year-round top seller, and the yellow squash and coconut custard pie.
Norma's Cafe · Oak Cliff, Dallas
Norma's is the Dallas diner known for blue plate specials and Mile-High cream pies, and this Oak Cliff room is the original, ahead of the newer locations. The pie and cobbler menu covers coconut, chocolate peanut butter, chocolate and lemon pies, then pecan, pumpkin, apple and cherry, with peach and blackberry cobblers. Order a slice of the coconut or the chocolate peanut butter Mile-High pie.
Paris Coffee Shop · Near Southside, Fort Worth
Fort Worth's oldest restaurant opened in 1926, stayed with the Smith family for nearly a century and moved to Magnolia Avenue in the 1970s, into a former Safeway, before new owners bought it and reopened it in 2022. It is known as a breakfast spot for omelets and pancakes, but pie is its biggest seller, ahead of the chicken and dumplings. Order a slice of pie after breakfast, or the chicken and dumplings at lunch with a slice to follow.
