Each holiday season this Royal Oak beer hall sets its usual name aside and reopens as Jingle, filling the room and patio with thousands of Christmas lights, heated igloos and festive cocktails. The pop-up runs from late November through New Year's Eve. Order from the seasonal cocktail list, or fall back on the beer hall's long tap list, which keeps pouring straight through the takeover. Once the new year turns, the space goes back to being Ale Mary's, tap list and all, until the following winter.

Every winter this outdoor cocktail bar tucked into The Belt alley sets its usual identity aside and lights up as Sippin' Santa, a tiki-tropical Christmas bar with red lanterns, tinsel, disco balls and a mounted deer head watching over the crowd. Order a tiki drink poured into one of the seasonal Santa mugs or a whale-shaped ceramic vessel, garnished with a pineapple wedge and a candy cane stirrer. The takeover runs from mid-November through the holidays before The Skip's regular outdoor cocktail program returns for the rest of the year.
