Each holiday season this Long Beach gastropub becomes Miracle at The Ordinarie, wrapped in lights, tinsel, stockings and paper snowflakes in every corner, the kind of display usually reserved for the most decorated house on the block. A short seasonal food menu runs alongside the usual pub fare. Order the mulled wine or the Christmapolitan, the cranberry cocktail on the Miracle list. Reservations go fast, so book ahead or plan to walk in early.
Death & Co Los Angeles · Arts District
Each December the subterranean Standing Room inside this Arts District cocktail bar becomes Season's Greetings, a retro holiday pop-up done in partnership with a spirits house, filled with festive lighting, tinsel and vintage decor. The seasonal list leans nostalgic, with eggnog and a hot toddy alongside a handful of holiday drinks, and retro snacks on the side. Order the eggnog and settle into the retro room. Once the pop-up ends, Death & Co's main room keeps its usual reference-point cocktail program running upstairs.
