Open on Grand Avenue since 1947 and unmistakably tiki, all thatch, vintage art, and a gloriously scuffed bar over stained concrete, dark as a confessional. There is no other bar in the Valley with quite this flavor of lowbrow kitsch, and the pours run strong.

A rip-roaring neighborhood dive and low-key sports bar with solid drinks, pool tables, a jukebox, and a convivial smoking patio. Bikers and musicians keep the room going day and night, and local bands play most nights of the week to a loyal crowd.

An excellent neighborhood tavern and longtime Tempe music venue where regulars sometimes arrive as the doors swing open at 6 a.m. It is one of the few dive bars in the metro with a genuine music-history claim behind the atmosphere.
