Chef-owner Jiten Sibal, who trained at the Delhi resort restaurant Bukhara, opened Bahaara in Tempe with a focus on northern Indian cooking. A dal simmers overnight for depth and the biryani is perfumed with cinnamon, cardamom, and saffron. It is one of the newer entries in the Valley's growing Indian dining scene.

Feringhee, in Chandler, was the first to bring Indian fine dining to the Valley, a move others have since followed. It applies artistic plating and craftsmanship to familiar dishes and pairs them with a wine and cocktail program, dressing up comfort food in a more polished setting.

Named a standout new restaurant of 2025, Indibar sits in the Paradise Valley and Scottsdale area and sets an Art Deco-inspired room around elevated Indian cooking. It applies fine-dining technique to nostalgic dishes, dressing up familiar comfort food with a more refined presentation than the Valley's typical Indian spots.

Vayal's started as a Valley food truck in 2022 and found a permanent Phoenix storefront on Thomas Road two years later. It specializes in Southern Indian cooking, including uthappam, a savory rice-and-black-gram pancake, and a range of flatbreads like kulcha and parotta alongside meat and vegetarian entrees.

Open since 2003, The Dhaba is a Tempe fixture built around Punjabi cooking, spanning vegetarian dals and curries to meat-packed plates, with thali options and wine pairings in a family atmosphere. Its longevity has made it a reference point for the Valley's Indian food scene.
