  • Mediterranean

Brothers Houssem and Mohammed 'Ziggy' Rzig took over this Cordova Road cafe in 2006 and broadened it toward a wider Mediterranean menu with Moroccan and Tunisian dishes. The Santa Fe Reporter's 'Praise for the Pyramid' feature singled out the freshness of the salads and the piquancy of the lamb stew. Order the lamb stew and a spread of Mediterranean and Tunisian mezze. A long-running neighborhood room open since the mid-2000s.

  • Gyros

Brothers Houssem and Mohammed Rzig have run Pyramid Cafe out of El Mercado Plaza on Cordova Road since 2006, after moving to Santa Fe from Tunisia. The Santa Fe New Mexican filed it under Greek outright, headlining its review Greek out and pointing to gyros with fries, salad and falafel. Order the gyro, or take the gyro meat on the combination kabob plate, and do not skip the fries.
