The Razatos family has run Santa Fe's Plaza Cafe for more than seventy years, and Yamas is their first fully Greek concept, built around six pita sandwiches led by the gyro. The Santa Fe New Mexican's Taste column covered its arrival in 'Going Greek at Yamas,' and the Santa Fe Reporter followed with 'Ode to a Grecian Sandwich.' A counter-service Mediterranean standby that has worked out of the Design Center on Cerrillos Road for decades, with a second kitchen on Zafarano Drive. The Santa Fe Reporter's food desk named it Best Quick Lunch in its 2025 editors' picks, praising food that comes out fresh and fast. Brothers Houssem and Mohammed Rzig have run Pyramid Cafe out of El Mercado Plaza on Cordova Road since 2006, after moving to Santa Fe from Tunisia. The Santa Fe New Mexican filed it under Greek outright, headlining its review Greek out and pointing to gyros with fries, salad and falafel. Order the gyro, or take the gyro meat on the combination kabob plate, and do not skip the fries.
