Le Pigeon · Buckman
Chef Gabriel Rucker opened Le Pigeon on East Burnside in 2006 and later won a James Beard Award, with Willamette Week repeatedly naming the room among Portland's finest. The menu built on French technique and Northwest ingredients runs to dishes like a maple-dripped smoked-foie-gras take on eggs and bacon.
Canard · Buckman
Canard comes from the Le Pigeon team, opened next door in 2018 by Gabriel Rucker and Andy Fortgang, and leans into updated bistro cooking with a wine list built around Burgundy and Champagne. Wine Spectator singles it out as a genuine wine-and-food destination, casual room and all.
Coquine · Mt. Tabor
Chef Katy Millard's Coquine reached the 2025 James Beard Outstanding Restaurant final round, one of several nods for the Mt. Tabor restaurant. The seasonal menu is sourced from local farms and paired with a wine program that has drawn its own recognition, blending French-leaning technique with a strong farm ethos.
St. Jack · Nob Hill
St. Jack serves refined French bistro cooking, from seared foie gras in tobacco jus to a fisherman's stew, in a casual-luxe Northwest 23rd dining room. Willamette Week called the westside iteration the strongest version yet after the restaurant grew from a small Clinton Street bistro into an upscale room.
