MONKEYWRENCH makes its entire frozen dessert menu without dairy, using plant based bases for scoops, shakes, cones, and rotating specials. The flavors aim for the richness and texture of a conventional ice cream shop rather than treating vegan preparation as a compromise. Gallivan Plaza provides an easy downtown setting for a walk up dessert.

Wanyen Cafe gives downtown a Southeast Asian-inspired ice cream counter. Flavors include matcha, Hokkaido milk and Bangkokian tea, and a mango sticky rice plate brings the ice cream into a composed dessert. The shop sits across from Pioneer Park, making a scoop or a shared plate an easy stop during a walk through the west side of downtown.
