Nolita Hall · Little Italy
San Diego Magazine introduced Nolita Hall as a 3,000 square foot European inspired beer hall at India and Juniper, a Black Swan Hospitality project designed by Tecture and named for North Little Italy. The magazine calls it mostly a brew hall, with 24 craft taps, a giant U shaped bar, floor to ceiling windows and a 60 foot skylight overhead. Nathan Coulon runs a kitchen of wood fired pizzas, meal sized salads and charcuterie. Order a wood fired pizza and take a seat at the U shaped bar.
Bier Garden Encinitas
San Diego Magazine's Beth Demmon counts 13 years of only in San Diego favorites at the Encinitas original, from a Cardiff Crack sando to a bacon cheddar vodka Bloody Mary mixed with housemade tomato juice, before owner David Creviston took the room on the road to Oceanside in March. The magazine says that second menu looks very similar to Encinitas: short rib nachos, Baja fish tacos and the signature Cheeseburger 101, alongside 24 taps of craft beer and craft cocktails.
