Huey's sits on River Street, serving New Orleans cooking alongside Coastal Empire plates. Connect Savannah's brunch guide points to the World Famous Beignets, crawfish etouffee, and a seafood omelette filled with wild caught shrimp, lump crab and scallops. The Savannah Morning News reported that the New Orleans menu is well loved locally, from muffulettas and po boys through to the beignets, and that a second location has since opened in Statesboro. Alligator Soul Restaurant · Downtown
A candlelit basement dining room below Barnard Street where the cooking leans Creole and Lowcountry, built on game, seafood and produce from regional growers. Jesse Blanco wrote in the Savannah Morning News that it is one of the first places locals recommend for dinner. The kitchen has since expanded into an adjoining space called the Marsou Room.
