E-TANG · Historic District
E-TANG runs its original Sichuan dining room at Oglethorpe and Price downtown. Connect Savannah reported that no other restaurant came up more often, or with more gusto, in its weekly Chefs' Cravings column, and followed owner David Xin as he opened a dim sum sister a short bicycle ride away on Whitaker Street, where every filled dough is handmade in house. Order the soup dumplings, or char siu bao, jiaozi and siu mai.

A family-style Chinese kitchen from the team behind Ele and The Chef, set in a warm, poshly decorated dining room near downtown. The menu runs to handmade dumplings, including a pork soup dumpling modeled directly on Shanghai-style xiaolongbao, alongside a full noodle list.
