Anyela's Vineyards · Skaneateles
Anyela's Vineyards sits on a hillside above Skaneateles Lake, the only winery in Skaneateles, which CNY Central profiled in its Your Town series. Jim and Patti Nocek opened the 100-acre estate in 1996 and pour around nineteen wines across reds, whites, roses, and sparkling, with a tasting room and gardens overlooking the water. Its Cabernet Franc took a state award at the 2023 New York Wine Classic, so start a flight there and settle in for the lake view.
The Villa Estate · Cazenovia
The Villa Estate Vineyards reopened the former Owera property above Cazenovia Lake under the Zazzara family, a return This is CNY's Charlie Miller covered in 2026. The 57-acre farm winery grows cold-hardy grapes and runs a tasting room, with a new lineup of estate-grown wines and a full-service tavern, Fellows', on the property. Plan a tasting of the estate wines with a view of the lake, and check current hours since the reopening is still settling in.
