Korean cooking is thin in the Utica metro. Mr. Kimchi in New Hartford is the one dedicated Korean barbecue and hot pot house; Utica BBQ earns its spot on the Korean sticky ribs a local writer raved about.

Mr.Kimchi Korean BBQ and hotpot · New Hartford
A New Hartford all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue and hot pot restaurant, opened in the long-vacant former Chuck E. Cheese building. WKTV and Big Frog 104 both covered it, and it stands as the metro's one true Korean kitchen. Come for the all-you-can-eat tabletop grill, or the hot pot for the table.
uticabbq · Utica
A Utica smokehouse whose Korean sticky ribs are the reason it earns a place here. Big Frog 104 raved about them, ribs finished with carrot slaw and crushed peanuts, and the Rome Sentinel named them in the opening menu. The house is an American barbecue spot at heart, but come for the Korean sticky ribs.
