Jamaica natives Sonia and Preston Diedrick opened this restaurant in October 2016, serving the jerk chicken, curried goat, oxtail, callaloo and saltfish they grew up eating. The Post and Courier covered its 2024 expansion into a new West Ashley strip mall space, a sign of a following that had outgrown the original room.

Owner Ambrose Campbell, who spent time in Charleston in the 1990s while in the Navy, returned in 2014 for engineering work and opened this Rivers Avenue restaurant soon after. Charleston City Paper points to his mildly spiced jerk chicken and escovitch fish, the latter known to sell out before the day is done.

One of the longer-established Caribbean kitchens in the area, run by Jamaican native Devon Henderson out of a small North Charleston strip mall. Charleston City Paper describes the jerk chicken as its specialty, well spiced but not overly hot, alongside curry goat and oxtails, and the restaurant has since rebranded from Reggae Grill.

Owner Shomari Tait's family, with roots in both Jamaica and Guyana, moved this Caribbean grocery and takeout kitchen to its current Goose Creek home in 2020 and added the takeout counter in 2023. Charleston City Paper points to the oxtails as the draw, cooked out of a shop that still sells Caribbean groceries alongside hot food.

Charleston City Paper lists this Ashley Phosphate Road restaurant among the area's Caribbean options, alongside Caribbean Delight and Taste of the Islands. The menu runs to oxtail, curry goat, jerk chicken and beef patties, serving a North Charleston crowd looking for the same island staples covered elsewhere in this category.
