Omaha Magazine lists apple cider donuts among the specialty foods at this Council Bluffs orchard, founded in 1994, which also runs a vineyard, a pumpkin patch and a kitchen turning out spicy corn fritters, tater ribbons and four kinds of apple pie. Apple cider, hard cider and wine are all poured on site. The Omaha World-Herald puts u pick apples at $5 for a five pound bag, with hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Order the cider donuts with the cider.

The Omaha World-Herald lists cider doughnuts beside apple cider and caramel apples at this family run Fort Calhoun orchard, open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the season.
