Paper Dosa · Cordova
Chef Paulraj Karuppasamy, formerly of San Francisco's Dosa, and his wife Nellie Tischler opened this South Indian kitchen in 2015 after building a following through pop-ups at Cafe Fina. The Santa Fe New Mexican's Pasatiempo review found that 'pretty much everything is clicking,' from the crisp dosas to the chutneys. Order the classic masala dosa or the three-cheese dosa, thin fermented rice-and-lentil crepes folded around spiced fillings, on Cordova Road just south of downtown.
Annapurna’s World Vegetarian Café · Don Diego
A vegetarian cafe with Indian and Ayurvedic roots, serving Santa Fe since 2005 and named in the Santa Fe New Mexican's 'How vegetarian is Santa Fe?' as one of the handful of kitchens vegetarian by menu. It relocated to Don Diego Avenue with a grand reopening in April 2026. Order a thali plate of dals, curries and rice, or the house chai made with oat milk. The kitchen leans toward South Asian and Nepali-inflected vegetarian cooking.
