Zunzi's · Historic District
Zunzi's built its following at a little York Street takeout counter where, as Tim Rutherford wrote in Connect Savannah, locals were already queueing for lunch long before tourists lined up anywhere else in town. The shop later moved to Drayton Street. Eat It & Like It's 2026 piece follows the split between the original and Zunzibar, a separate seafood and cocktail concept in the same building. Order the Conquistador sandwich with a rooibos tea.
Rocky's NY Deli & Italian Catering · Southside
Bill Vissicchio, a New Yorker himself, opened Rocky's New York Deli & Italian Catering in Sandfly, and Connect Savannah's review credits in-house curing of meats and Nonna's recipes rather than the name alone. The pastrami and corned beef are cured on site, and the sandwich list runs long. The counter still holds its Skidaway Road address, open mornings and afternoons Tuesday through Saturday. Pritchard & Co. · Historic District
Pritchard & Co. opened on West Broughton Street to fill what its owners called a gap in the Historic District for a true sandwich spot, open for breakfast and lunch. The kitchen carries over the Kitchen Sink Salad from the closed Starland Cafe and roasts its own coffee. Savannah Magazine covered the opening in its March 2026 dining feature, while the restaurant itself still described the run as a soft opening phase.
